Occupational Therapist (OT) – Permanent

Location: Canon City, Colorado
Compensation: $42–$47/hour
Schedule: 35 hours/week | Monday–Friday
Weekend Rotation: None
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Facility Size: 80 beds
Position Type: Permanent / Full-Time

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join an 80-bed skilled nursing facility in beautiful Canon City, Colorado . This permanent opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend rotation , giving you the opportunity to provide meaningful patient care while maintaining a strong work-life balance.

You'll work closely with patients to help them regain functional independence, improve their ability to perform daily activities, and reach meaningful therapy goals. In a smaller SNF environment, you'll also have the opportunity to build strong relationships with patients and collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals

• Provide skilled OT interventions to improve patients' independence and quality of life

• Address activities of daily living, functional mobility, strength, coordination, and other functional limitations

• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and other interdisciplinary team members

• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies

• Participate in care planning and contribute to positive patient outcomes

• Follow facility policies, clinical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program

• Current Colorado Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure

• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills

• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team

• SNF experience is preferred but not required

• New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply

Compensation for New Graduates

The $42–$47/hour range represents the compensation range for the position. New graduates are encouraged to apply and will be individually reviewed based on their education, qualifications, clinical background, and experience level . Compensation will be aligned appropriately with their professional level and qualifications.
