CNC Programmer

Location: Long Island, NY
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site

Job Summary

A growing aerospace and manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support complex machining operations. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining CNC programs, creating fixtures, supporting manufacturing processes, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to ensure high-quality output.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain CNC programs for machining operations
• Select cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies
• Develop and design manufacturing fixtures
• Review and optimize existing CNC programs for accuracy and efficiency
• Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings from customer-provided designs
• Generate accurate CAD drawings and product documentation
• Troubleshoot programming and manufacturing issues
• Work closely with engineering and production teams
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of CNC programming experience
• Experience programming and operating 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines
• Strong CAD experience, preferably CATIA V5
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 preferred
• Experience working with ERP systems preferred

Preferred Background

• Aerospace, defense, precision machining, or advanced manufacturing experience
• Experience supporting production and engineering teams
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
