Summary: The Marketing Specialist supports the day-to-day execution of University of Rochester Medicine Home Healthcare’s marketing and communications initiatives. This early-career role supports social media, internal communications, marketing collateral and project coordination, helping ensure work is accurate, on brand and delivered on schedule.

Working closely within the Marketing team, the Marketing Specialist will take ownership of defined activities and projects while building experience across multiple areas of marketing and communications.

 

Scheduling: Monday- Friday, 8AM to 430PM, Hybrid

 

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field preferred; relevant internship, academic or professional experience may also be considered.

• Experience: Internship or early-career experience in marketing, communications, public relations or social media.

 

Responsibilities

Digital & Social Media

• Maintain the social media content calendar and support day-to-day management of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Draft, schedule and publish social content in alignment with established brand voice and marketing priorities.
• Coordinate content, assets and approvals for upcoming posts and proactively identify content opportunities across the organization.
• Monitor engagement, flag or respond to comments and messages as appropriate, and track basic performance metrics.
• Stay current on social media trends and best practices and recommend relevant ideas or approaches.

Internal Communications

• Support the development and distribution of the employee newsletter by gathering content from departments and subject-matter experts, and drafting, proofreading and formatting content for internal audiences.
• Manage and maintain content for the agency’s intranet, helping ensure information remains current, accurate and engaging.

Content & Collateral

• Create, format and update brochures, flyers, newsletters, social graphics and other marketing materials using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Support content development for print and digital communications.
• Ensure materials follow established brand guidelines and review processes.
• Maintain an organized inventory and digital library of current marketing materials and identify outdated materials requiring updates or replacement.
• Coordinate printing, ordering and distribution of marketing collateral.
• Capture basic photography and short-form video content for social media and other communications needs.

Project Coordination & Marketing Operations

• Coordinate project workflows, including gathering information and assets, routing materials for review and following up on outstanding approvals or deliverables.
• Coordinate vendor orders, invoices and production timelines related to marketing materials and services.
• Organize and maintain marketing files, templates, brand assets and shared resources.

 

Hourly Rate: $18.33 - $38.90
