This is a key role responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic, multi-channel marketing and communication campaigns aimed at driving fundraising, alumni, and constituent engagement across the university in support of our goals and objectives.**Key Responsibilities:*** Speak to Advancement’s major audiences, alumni and donors, while additionally engaging with RIT audiences across campus (students, faculty, researchers, etc.)* Present and educate University Advancement and RIT Constituents on available assets and content, ensuring proper use amongst colleagues.* Provide ongoing support for major programs and initiatives of the division and the university, including but not limited to Brick City Homecoming events, donor/alumni events, Imagine RIT Festival, presidential and retiree events, giving and gratitude days, and convocation/commencement, among others.* Collaborate with additional RIT divisions, such as schools/colleges and Central Marketing and Communications, to align standards and content strategies.* When applicable, manage and delegate tasks to student workers.**Preferred Skills:*** Understanding of the customer journey and audience engagement/conversion tactics.* Working knowledge of content strategy development.* Experience with CRMs and Email Marketing Platforms (EMMA Corporate, Salesforce)* Proficiency with Adobe Products for graphics and video development (Express, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)* Experience with social media platforms and tools (Brandwatch, Meta Business Suite).* Must possess a strong customer service orientation.* Demonstrated experience with HTML/CSS and content management systems (CMS).* Experience or interest in higher education and fundraising**University Advancement | Alumni & Constituent Engagement** University Advancement fosters meaningful connections between RIT and its alumni, donors, parents, friends, and community partners. Through collaboration, service, and relationship-building, the team supports RIT's mission and helps create lasting impact for students, alumni, and the university.**Essential Duties & Responsibilities*** Creates unique, effective visual and written marketing materials and communications to engage audiences across all forms of media and channels/platforms* Maintains consistent messaging across all channels in collaboration with digital marketing and communications leadership* Develops and produces the required materials to assist in reaching the division’s goals and objectives for events, programs, and initiatives* Ensures the university’s brand standards are consistently upheld and that content invokes the required branding elements and key messaging in all materials* Manages processes from the onset of marketing and communications engagement requests, through approvals and production/publication, while ensuring all requirements have been successfully met* Communicates with internal and external vendors to ensure the highest quality, cost-effective end results and a mutually beneficial professional relationship with the university* Other duties as assigned **Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities*** Knowledge of a variety of communication formats including general marketing, advertising, copywriting, branding, campaigns, and other formats designed to change/influence perception and engage public audiences* Skill in writing, proofreading, and editing clear, concise, persuasive, and grammatically correct communications* Skill in multi-tasking, project management, prioritization, and organization* Ability to collect, synthesize, and process information quickly and accurately with attention to detail* Ability to think both creatively and strategically **Minimum Education & Experience*** Bachelor's degree in related field* 3 years of relevant experience* Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered **Job Level Overview**Specialized Contributor Level 2 - A fully functional role requiring established knowledge of the profession or field of work.
