Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Respiratory Therapist

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to neonatal patients, including those who are ventilated and require advanced respiratory therapies.

Responsibilities

• Independently admit and manage ventilated patients in the Pediatric ICU.
• Setup and manage heliox therapy through both invasive and non-invasive measures.
• Administer and monitor non-invasive ventilation, including biPAP and CPAP.
• Utilize advanced equipment including Servo U and Drager VN500 ventilators, Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, Vaportherm, and heliox therapy.
• Document patient care and progress using the Epic documentation system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a Neonatal ICU or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting.
• Current PALS certification is required.
• Advanced knowledge and skills in respiratory care specific to neonatal patients.
