We hire top talent who shares our values!The Senior Accountant is part of the Corporate Accounting Team supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The role is responsible for preparing and managing financial activities, including producing monthly financial statements as well as preparing account reconciliations. The position also includes partnering with various other departments of the company and assisting with various special projects.Points of responsibility include:Perform the day-to-day activities related to the monthly, quarterly and annual closes including initiating journal entries by compiling and analyzing accounting information and preparing accruals associated with key accountsPrepare monthly reconciliations and analyzing income statement accountsPerform intercompany transactionsPartner with FP&A to perform close activities and review/understand key drivers of the resultsImplement and enforce accounting policies and best practices ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal controls.Partner with operations, purchasing, HR, customer service and sales to ensure accurate accounting and support business initiativesDrive continuous improvement across the accounting function by identifying and implementing process enhancements that increase efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and timelinessLeverage AI, automation tools, system integrations, APIs, and workflow technologies to reduce manual work, improve data quality, and streamline accounting operationsSupport year-end auditOther tasks and duties based upon business needsRequired Skills/Qualifications4+ years' experience in accountingHigh attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in an efficient, effective and organized mannerStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting including GAAP research tools and FASB codificationExcellent communication skills; able to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial teamsAble to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environmentBachelor's degree in accounting or relevant fieldStrong knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principlesAspirations for continuous improvementProficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially excelExperience working with ERP or accounting systems, preferably NetSuiteCPA preferred but not required.Open office environmentNormal Business Hours – M-FThe Perks working at BlastOneGreat family culture with a meaningful missionFlexible time offGenerous 401k policyIndustry leading Health Insurance & benefits programAbility to put your personal stamp on the success of a companyIncredible opportunities to grow within the company and the industry, both your responsibilities and compensationPersonality / Core Value RequirementsBlastOne is a unique company.
