Business Analyst with Capital Market Experience or BankingLocation: Jersey City, NJJob Description: Requirement Analysis and DocumentationEngage and partner with QTS application teams moving onto the Aperture platform to understand their analytical use-cases/ business goals and confirm product fitFacilitate information gathering sessions including leading discussions, managing group dynamics, and maintaining group focus, to work towards accomplishing the stated goal(s) of the session within the context of the project objectives - From these information sessions, gathers the requirements and documents them, along with business use cases, feasibility analysis and cross functional diagrams as neededPartner with the platform engineering teams to ensure technical capabilities and data requirements are well understood, identify dependencies and integration pointsWork with senior stakeholders to validate their requirements and analysis via techniques such as reviews and walkthroughs and ensure system specifications meet the business stakeholders' expectations/requirements, and negotiate solutions when appropriateData AnalysisAnalyze incoming data sets and develop detailed requirements around sourcing solutions, identify provisioning requirements, data transformations etc.Able to decipher compliance, information security guidelines and apply them in the context of the datasets/ business requirements. Identify data accuracy requirements, solution options and remediation plans in case of a breachCommunication and PlanningParticipate in reviews or inspections, in collaboration with the project team, to ensure the quality of the deliverablesParticipate in the user acceptance testing, implementation planning and post implementation validations.Must HaveStrong business domain understanding of Financial Services/ Capital Markets, excellent data analysis and solid background dealing with complex software products (preferably cloud/ data analytics focused)Ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking to issues, and manage deadlines while multi-tasking amongst different priorities.5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projectsProven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or AgileExperience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation including Data analysis expertise (e.g., using SQL, Tableau, or Python)Nice to HaveMasters Certificate in Business AnalysisCertified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), or Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis (PMI – PBA) Certification (Preferred)Agile Certification (CSM, CSPO) or similarExperience of working with Capital Markets division of a multi-national bank or a Consulting firm focusing on similar clientsCompensation: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
