Overview

We are currently seeking energetic Physician Assistants to join the Advanced Practice Team. In these exciting roles, you will be working closely with our Physician and PA teams to take part in management of patients on our inpatient units. Here, you will experience a wide variety of cases including adult inpatients requiring general acute care and specialty services. In practice, you will experience all the reasons we entered our noble field. Our case mix index is one of the highest and we are looking for extremely motivated professionals to provide the utmost quality of care possible. MMC is a Physician Assistant friendly institution where we a striving every day to help our practitioners reach the heights of their career and practice at the very top of their licensure.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and perform physical exams; formulate diagnostic and treatment plans, write appropriate orders
• Perform procedures (blood draws, IV placement)
• Document all diagnoses, procedures, treatments in patient's record.
• Attend and participate in daily rounds

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Masters of Science degree from an accredited PA program; Master's preferred.
• Board Certified by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification for Physicians Assistant)
• NEW GRADS are welcome/encouraged to apply; We have experienced PAs who are ready to train!
• Licensed by the NY State Department of Education
• Valid DEA number
• BCLS certification or ACLS certification if required by department.

• Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Pay Range

USD $90.00 - USD $90.00 /Hr.
