G2 Ops supports mission-critical defense and technology initiatives by solving complex operational and engineering challenges. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Senior Systems Engineer to develop the engineering drawings and Technical Design Packages needed to place complex antenna and radio frequency systems on contract. In this role, you'll contribute to mechanical and electromechanical system design, technical data development, and configuration management while working alongside a team that values innovation, technical excellence, and continuous growth. You will translate technical requirements, supplier changes, and engineering decisions into accurate, contract-ready design products that support system acquisition and lifecycle configuration control.What You'll DoCreate schematic diagrams, electromechanical drawings, and 2D/3D CAD models for antenna and RF systems using SolidWorks and AutoCADDevelop and maintain contract-ready Technical Design Packages in accordance with engineering and military drafting standardsIncorporate supplier revisions, variance requests, and engineering changes while maintaining configuration control and traceabilityEvaluate mechanical interfaces, materials, packaging, installation, and PCB integration requirementsCoordinate with electrical, supplier, government, and program stakeholders to resolve technical issuesServe as the subject matter expert for assigned drawing packages and present design updates during technical and configuration reviewsWhat You'll Bring Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another STEM field7+ years of relevant mechanical, systems, electromechanical, CAD, or defense engineering experienceAdvanced experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D drafting and 3D modelingExperience developing and maintaining Technical Design PackagesKnowledge of RF and antenna systems, military drafting standards, and configuration managementFamiliarity with PCB design, mechanical packaging, and Altium-based electrical-mechanical coordinationStrong technical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsActive DoD Security Clearance or ability to maintain onePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting DoD, Navy, NAVWAR, or Program Executive Office programsFamiliarity with antenna, RF, communications, or electromechanical systems.Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, manufacturing, material selection, and design for manufacturability.Additional ConsiderationsFull-time position supporting mission-focused customer environmentsOutside employment or activities must not create conflicts of interest with company or customer responsibilitiesWhy G2 Ops? The annual salary range for this position is $130,000-$175,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
