Front Desk Representative – Hospitality
Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Contract Duration: 6 months, with conversion to a full-time permanent position after successful completion of the contract
Pay Rate: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift Timings
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM EST
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM EST
Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Front Desk Representative to join our hospitality team in Mount Laurel, NJ. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This role requires excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to guest inquiries.
- Manage reservations, cancellations, and room assignments.
- Process payments and maintain accurate billing records.
- Resolve guest concerns and ensure a positive guest experience.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments regarding guest requests.
- Maintain accurate guest information in the property management system.
- Provide information about local attractions, amenities, and services.
- Balance cash drawer and complete end-of-shift reports.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and hospitality standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience with Visual Matrix Software is required.
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work either 7:00 AM–3:00 PM EST or 3:00 PM–11:00 PM EST .
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Preferred Skills
- Customer service and cash handling experience.
- Experience with property management systems such as Visual Matrix, Opera, OnQ, FOSSE, or similar .
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
