Full-Time Retail Sales Associate $14.00 to $18.00 per hour with commission structure that pays you for every transaction processed. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.05 per hour on top of your hourly rate. Position Summary We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and assists customers with purchases, loans, and other transactions, working with a variety of merchandise including jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations). The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay is based on work location, qualifications, and experience. Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions. Performs non-management open/close procedures. Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise. Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements. Handles all cash and negotiable items per established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements. Answers incoming calls per company standards. Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, using respectful communication tools. Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience. Completes assigned training successfully. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage. Minimum age 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work with customers, be team-oriented. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in basic math calculations. Cash handling experience preferred. Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate. Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants receive more detailed information during the interview process.
