Travel RN - Telemetry & Acute Med/Surg San Marcos, TX

Start Date: 06/15/2026

End Date: 09/13/2026

Shift: 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)

Hours/Week: 36 hours/week

Employment Type: Travel/Temporary assignment

Licenses/Certs: RN license in TX or compact required; BLS and ACLS required (AHA)

Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred

Pay Rate: $46.90/hour

What You'll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care to acute Med/Surg and telemetry patients, including ortho, colorectal, urology, sepsis, SBO, and geriatric gynecology cases
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate independent practice with awareness of all relevant clinical aspects

What You Need

• Required:
  • RN license in TX or a valid RN license in a compact state
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience (preferred)
• Preferred:
  • Experience in Med/Surg and telemetry units
  • Ability to handle complex patient cases and adapt to fast-paced environments
