Responsibilities:
- Medication Administration: Administering oral and topical medications as prescribed by a physician, under the guidance of a licensed nurse.
- Record Keeping: Accurately documentating all medications administered to residents, based on their specific charts.
- Pain Management: Notifying appropriate licensed staff when a resident reports pain.
- Other Tasks: Performing other duties as assigned by the agency.
- Policy Compliance: Ensuring all medication administration practices align with agency policies and procedures.
- Safety: Prioritizing the safety and well-being of residents when administering medications.
Qualifications
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST FOR EMPLOYMENT
- Education: Completion of a 20-hour CMT training class
- Experience: At least one year of experience working in a care-giving setting.
- Lincesure: A valid CMT license from the MBON.
- CPR/BLS/First Aid: A current valid CPR/BLS/First Aid certificate from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Open availability, able to work various shifts to include weekends
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Physical and 2 Step PPD
- Able to lift, position, and transfer patient
- Experience operating a Hoyer lift
- Compassionate, respectful, committed to excellency and a good attitude
- Reliable transportation.
