We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a hospital-based rehabilitation team. This role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, working under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Carry out physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Provide care in both inpatient settings (including post-surgical, medical-surgical, and step-down units) and outpatient rehabilitation clinics. Assist patients with therapeutic exercise programs, gait training, mobility activities, transfer training, and use of assistive devices. Observe, document, and report patient responses, progress, and tolerance to treatments. Communicate any changes in patient condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, Medicare). Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support coordinated patient care. Ensure safe and effective treatment environments for all patients. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to follow clinical direction and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred Experience in inpatient and/or outpatient rehabilitation settings. Familiarity with hospital-based documentation systems and EMR platforms.
