Description

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized methods and observational analysis.
• Create customized treatment blueprints that meet short-term objectives and address long-term speech, language, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to implement effective care strategies.
• Educate patients and families to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Provide occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughput.
• Document all care accurately and timely, adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
