Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across all age groups, utilizing standardized tools and observational strategies.
• Create individualized treatment plans focusing on both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing goals.
• Deliver direct speech therapy sessions tailored to specific needs in communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to develop a unified care approach.
• Educate patients and families to foster progression beyond the therapy environment.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Accurately document patient interactions in compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Stay ahead in the field by pursuing continuous education and collaborating with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are yet to obtain ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
