In our most recent culture survey, team members shared how much they value the supportive environment and the people they work alongside each day.A Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) who excels in this role:Provides direct assistance to the surgeon(s) during surgical procedures.Positions patients to give best exposure for surgical procedures, using stabilizing equipment, when necessary, while maximizing patient comfort and safety.Provides visualization of the operative site using appropriate methods, including manipulation of tissue and materials, retraction, sponging, suctioning, and irrigation.Utilizes appropriate techniques to achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis.Assists with body plane closure, application of wound dressings, and securing of drainage systems.We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Associate's Degree Preferred. Minimum of 1 year of CSFA experience required.Additional requirements include:Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hireRequired Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
