Corporate Energy Associate

Location: Houston, TX | Workplace: Hybrid | Employment: Full-time A leading AmLaw firm is seeking a Corporate Energy Associate with 3-5 years of experience in sophisticated corporate transactions. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a nationally recognized corporate partner on M&A, energy, power, renewable energy, joint venture, and financing transactions. Responsibilities Handle M&A, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions. Draft and negotiate purchase agreements and ancillary transaction documents. Conduct due diligence and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Support energy-related transactions involving power assets, renewable energy, and project development. Work closely with clients and experienced corporate attorneys on complex transactions. Qualifications 3-5 years of corporate transactional experience. Experience with sophisticated M&A transactions in a leading law firm environment. Energy experience in power, renewable energy, or oil and gas is a plus but not required. Active Texas bar membership or eligibility for admission. Strong drafting, analytical, research, and communication skills. Willingness to use innovative legal technology, including Harvey AI. Compensation $275,000-$325,000 annually, plus applicable bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
