Title: Non-IT Project/Program Manager

Location: onsite Mossville, IL 100% M-F (if not local must be open to relocating on own dime and must be onsite 2 weeks from offer day 1 of contract)

Type: Contract

Pay: $39/hr on w2-

Hours: 8-5 M-F (40 hour work week)

Length: 12 months-large possibility to extend

Screenings: full panel drug and background once hired

IV process: 1 or 2 rounds

+optional benefits, long term contract with ability to extend or convert to full time

 

 

Must Haves:

• MINIMUM Years of experience: 2-4 years experience required.
• MINIMUM Degree requirement: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. Open to Associates
• Must have recent Microsoft Project experience and will be asked to demonstrate.

Job Overview:

The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

 

• Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.

 

• Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.

 

• Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

 

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

 

• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

 

• Basic knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

 

• Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

 

• Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.

 

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.

• PMI or PMP certification preferred.

• 2-4 years experience required.

 

Position’s Contributions to Work Group :

 

- Serve as a project coordinator working with technical leads on projects.

- Responsible for maintaining Microsoft Project Plans

- Coordinating meetings, driving action items, thinking analytically

Typical task breakdown:

 

• Control Meetings, gathering tasks from team members, updating project plans, analyzing data from changes made to project plan (week over week variances, critical path analysis, etc. Be able to take complex information and break It down into smaller, understandable, actionable pieces of work.

 

Interaction with team:

 

• This is a client facing position (internal). This employee will need to work with a variety of personalities often times with tight deadlines.
