Locum | Physician Interventional Cardiology

We are seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for inpatient/EMTALA call coverage in Paducah, KY. Coverage needed: 37 days per month. This role is strictly inpatient with no ambulatory/clinic responsibilities.

Practice Setting:

• Inpatient / EMTALA Call Coverage
• No outpatient/clinic work
• Adult patient population
• Group includes 2 Interventional Cardiologists
• Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present during locum coverage
• EMR: Epic Cupid

Interventional Procedures Required:

• Balloon Angioplasties
• Coronary Angioplasty
• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
• Heart Catheterization
• Coronary Angiograms

General Cardiology Responsibilities:

• Expected to respond to ALL cardiology calls for the hospital
• Provide general cardiology consults as needed
• Read and interpret studies including:
• EKG
• ECHOs
• Stress tests (including nuclear stress tests)

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified REQUIRED
• Active KY License & DEA REQUIRED
• IMLC accepted if provider can offer 37 days/month availability
• ACLS REQUIRED
• COVID Vaccine Preferred
• NPDB Self-Query (dated within 30 days of presentation) REQUIRED
