Substitute School Nurse-(District Wide)

Nurse Position

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing coverage for staff nurse absences, field trips, health screenings or professional development days.
- Provide nursing services to the student population on a day-to-day, as-needed basis.
- Provide triage, nursing assessment, and treatment of illness and injury.
- Administer medications as needed.
- Provide emergency care in cases of injury or sudden illness.
- Communicate with parents, faculty/staff, and healthcare providers as needed.
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the building Principal and/or the Director of Nursing
Qualifications-Required:
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
- Current certification in CPR/AED and First Aid.
- Experience in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing.
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.
Qualifications-Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree
Terms: Up to three paid days of orientation, $245 per diem rate, the work day is 7 hours.
