Welder PositionAs a welder, you are responsible for cutting and joining mild or stainless, and other materials, and equipment operation for assembly of structures.Essential Functions:Participate in all safe start meetings.Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulationsFollow 5S standards to maintain work area.Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specificationsSetup and align components for welding according to specificationsWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)Operate angle grinders and other tools necessary to prepare the surface to be welded.Complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified.All other duties as assigned.Experience, Education, & License Requirements:HS Diploma or equivalent preferredRelated degree from a technical college, a plus1 year of proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment, or internship while attending technical collegeSkills & Abilities:Steady hands and attention to detail.Ability to read and interpret drawings.Basic welding and metal terminology.Endurance and dexterityAbility to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficientlyAbility to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Average proficiency in mathematicsGood hand-eye coordinationAbility to read a tape measureThe Benefits:Medical, dental, vision benefits the first day of the month after startMarket-leading 401(k) program with company match10 paid holidays per year and PTO accrualPaid Sick LeavePaid Parental Leave100% tuition reimbursementCareer development and advancement opportunitiesEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
