SEI, a leading provider of institutional fiduciary management and OCIO solutions globally, is seeking a senior Institutional Sales Leader to drive growth across our OCIO and broader institutional investment solutions platform.This is a management role responsible for both direct sales execution and team leadership, focused on expanding SEI’s presence among large institutional investors across the United States, including Endowments, Foundations, Healthcare Systems, Defined Benefit Plans, and Taft-Hartley Plans.This position reports to the Head of North American Institutional and is a key member of the North American Institutional Leadership Team.What You’ll Do:Business Development & Revenue GenerationLead new business development efforts, originating and closing institutional mandates across OCIO and non-OCIO offerings (e.g., advisory, implementation, asset management solutions)Build and deepen relationships with CIOs, investment committees, boards, and senior executivesDirect sales strategy with full accountability for pipeline development, conversion, and revenue generationExecute complex, consultative sales processes, including RFPs, finalist presentations, and board-level decision cyclesDevelop tailored value propositions aligned to client governance models, investment objectives, and long-term missionsPlayer/Coach LeadershipServe as a senior mentor and coach to a team of institutional sales professionals, providing guidance on pipeline strategy, deal execution, and client engagementPartner with leadership to set sales strategy, coverage models, and go-to-market prioritiesAct as a thought leader within the team, sharing best practices and elevating overall sales effectivenessSupport talent development, including onboarding, coaching, and ongoing performance feedbackStrategic CollaborationWork cross-functionally with investment, portfolio management, consultant relations, marketing, and client service teamsCollaborate with subject matter experts to position SEI’s full suite of capabilities, including custom OCIO, open architecture implementation, and specialized investment solutionsEngage effectively with OCIO search consultants, understanding their influence on buyer criteria, process timelines, and selection outcomesMarket Leadership & ExpertiseMaintain deep expertise in institutional market trends, competitive positioning, and evolving client needsRepresent SEI externally through industry events, conferences, and thought leadership initiativesContinuously refine messaging around SEI’s differentiated approach to outsourced investment management and partnership modelsWhat We Need from You:A minimum of 15 years of institutional asset management experience, with a significant focus on business development and sales leadershipDemonstrated success selling OCIO/fiduciary management and/or institutional investment solutionsProven track record of originating and closing large, complex mandates with sophisticated institutional clientsExperience operating in a player/coach capacity, leading teams while maintaining an individual production goalDeep relationships within the Endowment & Foundation and broader institutional marketplaceExtensive experience engaging with:Investment committees and boardsInternal investment teams and CIOsOCIO search consultants and intermediariesStrong understanding of consultative sales methodologies and long-cycle institutional sales processesBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or CFA preferredSEI’s competitive advantage:To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of benefits including comprehensive care for your physical and mental well-being, a strong retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, a hybrid working environment for most roles, support for working parents and flexible Paid Time Off (PTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription, wellness, EAP, FSA), life and disability insurance (premiums paid for base coverage), 401(k) match, education assistance, commuter benefits, up to 11 paid holidays/year, 21 days PTO/year pro-rated for new hires which increases over time, paid parental leave, back-up childcare arrangements, paid volunteer days, a discounted stock purchase plan, investment options, access to thriving employee networks and more.We are a technology and asset management company delivering on our promise of building brave futures (SM)—for our clients, our communities, and ourselves.
