About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Finance & Accounting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring financial operations, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all accounting transactions. This role involves overseeing the internal control, compliance, and improvement of the company's finances and business functions, as well as managing key annual compliance and risk mitigation reports. The VPFA will also be involved in budgeting, forecasting, and providing financial guidance to executives and leadership staff. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 4.5 years' of directly related experience, with a minimum of 2 years' in a supervisory role. The role requires a deep understanding of GAAP accounting, accruals, cash management, forecasting, and budgeting, particularly in the context of nonprofit organizations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in financial management within a nonprofit setting and must be adept at interpreting financial statements, identifying potential liabilities, and developing strategic financial approaches. The VPFA will also be expected to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and provide excellent customer service.
