Research Assistant

Position Overview Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Research Assistant supports ongoing laboratory research projects investigating the cellular‑molecular mechanisms of retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and photoreceptor interactions. Essential Functions Performs and assists in laboratory experiments investigating RPE–photoreceptor interactions. Conducts supervised animal experimentation, including strain maintenance, verification, husbandry, and in‑vivo assays. Works under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator to execute laboratory tasks. Additional Duties Additional duties may be assigned as necessary. Management Responsibilities Not responsible for the supervision or oversight of others. Required Qualifications: Education and Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or a related field. Minimum of six months experience in small rodent handling. Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills Training and handling of small rodents. Preferred Qualifications None specified. Compensation Minimum Starting Salary: $34,286 Maximum Starting Salary: $34,286 Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
