Medical Assistant

Department: Oncology

Shift: Day

Daily Work Times: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Scheduled Biweekly Hours: 80

Position Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Radiation Oncologists, Registered Nurses and other Cancer Center staff with basic clinical and office functions to ensure a coordinated approach to oncology patient care activities. Works closely with nursing team and medical staff to ensure quality patient care in a timely manner

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of approved program for Medical Assistant or 1 year of experience as a medical assistant
• BLS certification

Preferred:

• Previous oncology office experience
