Spanish Medical Interpreter

Location: Cresco, IA Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: As Needed (United States of America) Position Summary Receives patients/visitors and provides interpretation services during various processes, and makes sight translations of documents. The Medical Interpreter will provide accurate concepts and explanations with no additions or omissions, in accordance with conventions of established interpretation protocol. Successfully processes and imparts information swiftly, and relays intentions, emotions and tone in interpretations. Provides educational opportunities for staff. Position Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred: outstanding problem‑solving skills and ability to work to a high level of accuracy Valid certificate of accredited interpreting training Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills Computer skills Ability to follow instruction under pressure, show compassion and empathy Outstanding listening, retention and note‑taking skills Proficient enunciation and pronunciation skills and pleasant professional voice Proficient understanding of cultural sensitivity and ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds #J-18808-Ljbffr
