Job Title: Inventory Coordinator Job Description

The Inventory Coordinator supports daily production and inventory operations in a clean, organized manufacturing environment. Working a flexible first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, this role focuses on accurately receiving, inspecting, documenting, and delivering materials and components to the production floor. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, working with numbers, and learning new processes in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Print and distribute production packets and work orders to ensure the production team has accurate and up-to-date information.
• Pull and stage components and materials needed for production jobs according to work orders and inventory records.
• Ensure all required materials and components are delivered to the production floor on time to support continuous production flow.
• Assist with inventory management activities, including maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting cycle counts.
• Receive and process incoming purchased goods, verifying quantities and documentation against purchase orders.
• Perform incoming inspections and confirm materials meet established quality standards before release to production.
• Create bills and enter relevant information into QuickBooks to support accurate financial and inventory records.
• Maintain organized filing systems and production records, both physical and digital, for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Review and work from production documents, including red-lined documents and revisions, ensuring changes are correctly implemented.
• Support clear communication and coordination between inventory, production, and purchasing teams to resolve material and scheduling issues.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations related to inventory counts, material usage, and production activities.
• Use computer systems, ERP tools, and data entry processes to update inventory, production, and transaction records.
• Assist with warehouse inventory tasks such as picking, organizing, and tracking materials.
• Adapt to new procedures and responsibilities as processes evolve, contributing to continuous improvement in production operations.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in inventory and documentation.
• Solid organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and keep materials, records, and workflows in order.
• Basic math skills and the ability to work with numbers accurately in inventory and production-related calculations.
• Proficiency with computers and data entry, including working with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Ability to read and understand production documents, work orders, and red-lined revisions.
• Dependable and punctual attendance, with a consistent commitment to scheduled hours.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Capability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities within production and inventory operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with QuickBooks is preferred but not required.
• Experience in production, inventory, inventory control, cycle counts, and inventory management is beneficial.
• Background in warehouse inventory, picking, and data entry is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, including SAP or similar inventory and production software, is helpful.
• Strong computer skills and comfort working with digital records and systems.
• Fast thinker with strong reading and listening skills to learn new processes quickly.
• Proven ability to handle many tasks at the same time while maintaining accuracy and composure.
• Flexible learner with strong memory and focus to track changing rules, steps, and documentation.
• Calm under pressure with a history of success in busy, critical, and sometimes high-stress roles.
• Motivated individual looking to grow within a production operations and inventory-focused role.
• Ability to be trained on all aspects of the role and adapt to cross-training opportunities.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, organized, and quiet manufacturing facility designed to support accurate inventory work and efficient production. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, offering a consistent first-shift workday. The environment involves regular use of computers, ERP systems, and inventory management tools, as well as handling materials and components in a warehouse and production setting. The atmosphere is fast-paced yet structured, with an emphasis on safety, orderliness, and clear communication across production, inventory, and purchasing teams.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Charles, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
