Senior Project Manager – Environmental | Brooklyn, NY
LaBella is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to help lead and grow our multi-disciplinary Brooklyn, NY office. This is an opportunity for an experienced environmental consultant who wants to manage meaningful projects, deepen client relationships, mentor staff, and play a visible role in the continued growth of LaBella’s New York City environmental practice.
LaBella is a 100% employee-owned firm with more than 2,000 professionals in more than 40 offices across 14 states, with additional international offices in the U.K. and Spain. LaBella’s DUMBO, Brooklyn office offers the agility, collaboration, and visibility of a growing boutique practice, backed by the resources, stability, and technical depth of a national employee-owned firm.
We are looking for an experienced environmental professional with strong technical judgment, project leadership skills, client-service instincts, and an interest in growing into — or continuing to perform in — a seller-doer role. The successful candidate will manage environmental due diligence, investigation, remediation, wetland delineation, environmental permitting, and construction-phase environmental projects, with a particular focus on NYC E-Designation projects, NYS Brownfield Cleanup Program projects, spill sites, wetland and natural resource permitting, and complex urban redevelopment assignments throughout the five boroughs and the NYC metropolitan area.
The Senior Project Manager will manage key projects and client relationships, prepare and review technical and regulatory deliverables, develop proposals and scopes of work, coordinate with regulatory agencies and multidisciplinary teams, support business development and teaming efforts, and help train and mentor junior staff. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys the combination of technical work, project delivery, client interaction, staff development, and strategic growth.
For the right candidate, this is a high-upside opportunity to help shape a growing NYC environmental practice within a collaborative, employee-owned company that values initiative, technical excellence, client service, and long-term professional growth.

- Track and communicate project milestones, staffing needs, financial performance, client opportunities, and quarterly business goals.
- Monitor and communicate relevant NYC regional environmental policy, regulatory, and market developments that may affect clients, projects, business development, or practice growth.
- Identify opportunities to expand LaBella’s environmental permitting, wetland, natural resources, and development-support services within the NYC regional market.
- Represent LaBella professionally in client meetings, regulatory meetings, industry events, professional organizations, and teaming discussions.
- Conduct and oversee work in accordance with professional standards, applicable regulations, LaBella’s QA/QC policies, and the firm’s core values.
