Details Hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit featuring 4 Triage bays, 11 LDR rooms, and 2 ORs Unit includes NICU and Post-Partum services with 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage Cares for low and high risk L&D patients across neonatal, adolescent, and adult populations Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30) Requires 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights) Voluntary on-call, with candidates placed on call if not needed for a scheduled shift Float requirement to Perinatal unit as needed Uses Epic and eMD Allscripts charting systems Utilizes SBAR communication and Omnicell medication systems Requirements Active California RN license required Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Epic EMR experience required Allscripts charting experience preferred Skilled in external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Experience circulating for C-sections required References required for consideration Additional Information Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including fetal monitoring and C-section circulation Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor Must work most holidays with limited holiday RTO consideration RTO requests must be submitted upfront and finalized before assignment start, with no RTO permitted during the first two weeks Maximum of 3 days RTO allowed for the contract First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the travel rate Return staff considered on a case-by-case basis American Traveler Job ID P-744733.
