Details Labor and Delivery unit including 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU, and Post-Partum areas Supports low and high risk L&D with 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30 Requires 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights) On-call is voluntary, though RNs may be placed on call if not needed for their scheduled shift Float to Perinatal unit as needed Uses Epic and Allscripts EMR systems Utilizes SBAR communication and Omnicell technology Requirements Active California RN license required Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Epic EMR experience required Allscripts charting system experience preferred Skilled in external fetal monitoring and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Experience circulating for C-sections required References required for consideration Must pass an advanced EKG exam (80% minimum, two attempts allowed) Additional Information Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care across triage, LDR, OR, NICU, and post-partum settings First-time travelers are welcome to apply Return staff will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis Local candidates accepted at the travel rate No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment Maximum of 3 days RTO allowed for the contract One holiday RTO request may be submitted but is not guaranteed Must work most holidays Facility is smoke and nicotine-free; candidates must arrive free of tobacco odor American Traveler Job ID P-743770.
