About the Position

Job Title: Float Pool Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: Proficient in IV start and telemetry monitoring Experience with electronic health records system Description: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical surgical/telemetry setting. Demonstrate flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as needed. Availability for weekdays and some weekends, including holidays is essential. Ability to manage patient ratios of 1:4-5 is required. Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail are essential. Candidates must have experience accessing/managing ports and managing various protocols. Experience with non-invasive airway management and wound care is preferred. Candidates will be required to float to different units as needed. Minimum of four weekend shifts required per four-week schedule. Interdisciplinary support will include various healthcare professionals. Candidates must have the ability to handle a variety of patient diagnoses and special procedures. Travel experience is required.
