Trademark Paralegal

Employment Type: Direct Hire Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well‑established law firm to identify an experienced Trademark Paralegal to support a collaborative intellectual property team in their Portland, Oregon office. This role will focus on managing domestic and international trademark and copyright matters from application through maintenance, while also supporting portfolio management and related litigation support. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and enjoys working closely with attorneys, clients, and foreign associates. Responsibilities: Manage U.S. and international trademark filings, including applications, renewals, statements of use, extensions, and maintenance Prepare and assist with responses to office actions (USPTO, WIPO, and foreign jurisdictions) Conduct trademark searches and prepare summaries and reports Support opposition and cancellation proceedings, including TTAB filings Assist with UDRP matters and trademark‑related litigation filings Prepare and file copyright applications and related documentation Coordinate with docketing teams to maintain and update trademark deadlines and records Communicate with clients and foreign associates regarding filings, renewals, and portfolio updates Assist with due diligence projects, including trademark portfolio review and chain of title analysis Handle new matter intake and transfer of files between counsel Maintain organized electronic and physical files, ensuring accuracy and compliance Utilize docketing and case management systems to track deadlines and ensure timely filings Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a trademark or intellectual property paralegal Required experience supporting both trademark and copyright matters Experience handling U.S. and international trademark filings (Madrid Protocol experience preferred) Strong knowledge of USPTO systems (TEAS, Trademark Center, Assignment Center) Experience with docketing systems (Foundation IP or similar preferred) Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management tools Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Paralegal certificate preferred Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus based on individual performance and firm results Paid Time Off (PTO): 17 days annually for the first 3 years (accrued), increasing to 22 days after 3 years of service Paid family and medical leave benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options Health Savings Account (HSA) with firm contribution Life insurance, long‑term disability, and AD&D coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Optional voluntary life, AD&D, and long‑term care coverage 401(k) retirement plan with automatic firm contribution of 7.5% Pre‑tax transportation and parking plan, including a $100 monthly employer subsidy for employees working 3+ days per week in the office Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers #J-18808-Ljbffr
