Senior Data EngineerThe Senior Data Engineer leads the design, modernization, and operational support of the enterprise data platform. This role is responsible for architecting, optimizing, and supporting enterprise data integration, warehousing, reporting, and automation solutions across Azure, Snowflake, Microsoft BI technologies, and the Power Platform.Key Responsibilities:Defines and implements enterprise data architecture leveraging Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), Azure SQL, Snowflake, Snowflake OpenFlow, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Query.Leads conversion of SSIS packages to Azure Data Factory, Snowflake OpenFlow and modern ELT frameworksDesigns scalable ingestion patterns to prevent duplicate extracts and enable incremental loadingOptimizes long-running data extractions and improves pipeline performanceManages and tunes Snowflake warehouses for performance and cost efficiencyDevelops and supports Power BI datasets, data models, and enterprise reporting solutionsSupports and modernizes SSRS reporting and downstream Power Platform dependenciesDevelops automation workflows using Power Automate to streamline operational processesUtilizes advanced Excel capabilities for analysis, reconciliation, validation, and business supportEstablishes best practices for data modeling, environment promotion (Dev/QA/Prod), naming conventions, monitoring, and operational supportProvides Tier 2 / Tier 3 production support for data integration and reporting platformsParticipates in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and progress reporting.Identifies obsolete fact tables, unused reports, and redundant processes to streamline the data ecosystemPartners with leadership to provide visibility into sprint progress, platform health, and modernization initiativesLeverages Ataccama ONE for governance, data quality monitoring, and metadata managementIntegrates and maintain Ataccama data quality workflows to support enterprise data governanceThis position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.Salary range: $114,280 - $140,000Core Competencies:Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and data accuracyStrong work ethic with a sense of ownership and accountabilityAbility to prioritize effectively in a production support and development environmentCollaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionallyRequired Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent field10+ years of experience in software design and development, with the majority of time focused in a data engineering roleRequired Technical Skills:Azure Data FactoryAzure Data Lake Storage (Gen2)Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, streams & tasks)Snowflake OpenFlowSQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)Power BI (data modeling, DAX, report optimization)Power AutomatePower QueryVisual StudioAzure DevOpsAdvanced SQL development and tuningMicrosoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation)Git-based version control and CI/CD practicesAgile / Scrum methodologyEnterprise production support experienceEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
