Tax Partner – Business Tax Services (BTS) Location: Las Vegas, NV Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and people-centric Tax Partner to lead our client's Business Tax Services (BTS) practice in Las Vegas. While you will serve as a premier technical expert and strategic advisor to our corporate clients, your paramount responsibility will be building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing tax team. Key Responsibilities Leadership, People Management, and Coaching Talent Development: Act as a dedicated mentor and coach to staff, managers, and directors. Actively guide their career trajectories, identify opportunities for professional growth, and empower them to reach their full potential. Team Supervision: Direct and supervise large groups of tax professionals, ensuring a collaborative, inclusive, and highly engaged workplace culture. Performance Management: Provide ongoing, constructive feedback and conduct meaningful performance evaluations. Lead by example in navigating complex client challenges and internal team dynamics. Strategic Contribution: Play a pivotal role in the leadership team, directly contributing to the strategic vision, profitability, and operational success of the firm's business unit. Business Tax Services (BTS) & Client Excellence Client Advisory: Serve as the lead partner on complex Business Tax Services engagements. Provide strategic corporate tax planning, compliance oversight, and high-level advisory services to a diverse portfolio of business entities. Technical Authority: Research highly complex technical tax issues, document results comprehensively, and guide both the team and clients through evolving tax legislation and regulatory frameworks. Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of technical accuracy, risk management, and professional ethics across all client deliverables. Preferred Experience/Background/Skills CPA required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related degree. 10 or more years of applicable experience in Business Tax Services (BTS) and income tax planning and compliance. Outstanding Coaching Ability: Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and develop individuals and/or large groups. Technical Acumen: High-level ability to research technical issues and document results clearly and effectively. Strategic Impact: Proven ability to successfully contribute to the success of a strategic business unit of the firm. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex tax concepts for diverse audiences. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel required). Integrity: Strict adherence to professional ethics.
