DescriptionOur client, a well-established and growing commercial real estate organization, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership across the organization. This is a highly visible CFO role that will partner closely with ownership and the executive leadership team to drive financial performance, support investment and growth decisions, and ensure the organization is positioned for long-term success.The CFO will oversee all aspects of finance and accounting while providing strategic insight into the company's portfolio of commercial real estate assets, acquisitions, development projects, capital investments, and overall business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic financial leadership and serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and the executive leadership team.Lead the company's accounting, finance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting functions.Oversee financial performance at both the corporate and property levels, providing meaningful analysis and recommendations to leadership.Develop and maintain comprehensive annual budgets, forecasts, long-range financial plans, and cash flow projections.Monitor portfolio performance and key financial metrics, identifying opportunities to improve asset-level profitability and overall returns.Partner with executive leadership on acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, refinancing, capital investments, and other strategic initiatives.Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial modeling, valuation analysis, sensitivity analysis, and recommendations to ownership.Oversee debt financing, banking relationships, liquidity management, and capital structure strategy.Manage relationships with lenders, investors, financial institutions, auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners.Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including consolidated financial statements, management reporting, property-level reporting, and executive dashboards.Establish and monitor financial controls, policies, and procedures to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.Oversee tax planning, compliance, insurance, risk management, and other financial matters in partnership with external advisors.Provide financial leadership related to development and construction projects, including project budgets, capital expenditures, financing, and return-on-investment analysis.Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting capabilities, systems, and organizational efficiency.Develop and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Support ownership and leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic decision-making.For immediate consideration call Jimmy Tunney at View phone number on click.appcast.io.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; CPA, MBA, or other advanced designation is preferred.10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, with experience at the CFO, VP Finance, Controller, or similar level.Commercial real estate experience is strongly preferred, particularly within an organization with a diverse portfolio of properties, development projects, or investment activities.Strong understanding of real estate financial concepts, including property-level P& L, NOI, capital expenditures, debt financing, cash flow, investment returns, and valuation.Experience with financial modeling and analysis related to acquisitions, dispositions, development, refinancing, and capital investments.Demonstrated experience managing banking and lender relationships.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.Experience leading and developing accounting and finance teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively partner with ownership, executives, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders.Highly strategic, hands-on, and business-minded leadership style.Job typePerm
