Travel Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 9-bed ICU setting with patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1
• Manage ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, and GE monitors; perform IV drip titration and arterial line management
• Assist with and support procedures including intubation, central line insertions, and arterial line insertions
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Participate in self-scheduling with manager oversight, including 3–4 weekend shifts per schedule period
• Float to Med-Surg or ED as needed to support critical staffing needs; adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET and bedside shift report (BSSR)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with ventilator management and IV drip titration
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience supporting or mentoring new graduate RNs
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience in a facility with Chest Pain Center or Stroke Accreditation designations
