Job Summary

Provide specialized nursing care to telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to patient needs promptly. Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital protocols and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs of telemetry patients.
• Interpret EKG readings and promptly respond to abnormal findings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Document patient care and clinical observations accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and adjust patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about condition management and post-discharge care.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with preference for telemetry or cardiac telemetry.
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring equipment.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
