Open Interviews

Hello! AltaPointe Health is hosting open interviews on Thursday, September 24th from 10:00AM-2:00PM. This event will take place at Eastpointe Hospital (7400 Roper Ln, Daphne AL 36526). Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Grant Accounting Functions:

• Assist with retrieving, compiling, and reviewing monthly grant reports to support accurate grant tracking, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Assist with preparing monthly grant draw packages, ensuring all expenditures are allowable under grant budgets and comply with AHS policies.
• Audit grant documentation files.
• Prepare journal entries.
• Reconcile grant cost centers to the subledger.

Payable Accounting Functions:

• Assist with the review and payout of employee reimbursements.
• Audit vendor files for appropriate documentation.
• Prepare and send vendor letters requesting W-9 and ach details.
• Entering vendor invoices for appropriate approval and payment.

• Assist consumers and visitors as needed.

• Complete all assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow AltaPointe policies and procedures.
• Actively work to enhance skills.
• Attend required in-service training and other workshops.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Actively enrolled in an accredited university with a declared major in accounting and must maintain active enrollment and good academic standing throughout the internship. The individual must have a basic understanding of accounting principles and terminology, basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information. The individual must also demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
