Field Technician

Our client specializes in Allison Off-Highway transmissions, providing rebuilds, repairs, service work, and transmission maintenance.

They are seeking a dependable, motivated Field Technician to join the team in Odessa, TX. This position travels to customer locations to diagnose, remove, install, troubleshoot, and assist with repairs of industrial transmissions and related equipment. Responsibilities:

Remove and install industrial transmissions and related components at customer locations.

Diagnose transmission and diesel engine issues.

Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.

Complete service reports and accurately document work performed.

Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and lifting equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work environment.

Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.

Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Mechanical experience preferred, including industrial equipment, heavy equipment, diesel engines, oilfield equipment, military vehicles or equipment, or related mechanical systems.

Ability to safely use hand and power tools.

Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.

Commitment to safety, accountability, and quality workmanship.

Experience gained during military service can provide an excellent foundation for this position. Veterans may have developed transferable skills such as:

Mechanical maintenance and repair of vehicles, engines, generators, or other complex equipment.

Reading technical manuals and following detailed maintenance procedures.
