Industrial Sanitation TechSalary Range $18.00 - $20.00 HourlyIndustrial Sanitation TechTITLE: INDUSTRIAL SANITATION TECH STATUS: REGULAR, FULL-TIMESCHEDULE: MONDAY - THURSDAY, 2:00PM - 12:30AM, Some Fridays PAY RANGE: $18 - $20 PER HOURFLSA: NON-EXEMPT LOCATION: FACTORY (DURANGO, CO)POSITION SUMMARY: Keep production area in clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, sanitizing machines and food preparation areas.REPORTS TO: Sanitation SupervisorESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Inspect parts, equipment, and machines for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.Scrub, scrape, or spray machine parts or equipment, using scrapers, brushes, clothes, cleaners, disinfectants, insecticides, acid, abrasives, vacuums, and hoses.Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, and other compounds, according to formulas.Clean production floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.Rinse objects and place them on drying racks; or use cloth, squeegees, or air compressors to dry surfaces.Turn valves or handles on equipment in order to regulate pressure and flow of water, air, steam, or abrasives from sprayer nozzles.Lubricate machinery, vehicles, and equipment, and perform minor repairs and adjustments, using hand tools.Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.Work in other departments as assigned.OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other work-related duties as assigned.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Ability to work in a sitting or standing position throughout the shift and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Good hand-eye coordination.Ability to follow verbal instructions.BENEFITS:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings and Flexible Savings Accounts401(k) with company matchEmployee Assistance ProgramShort/Long Term Disability – Paid by CompanyPaid Life Insurance – Paid by CompanyPaid vacation and sick timePaid holidaysEmployee Discounts Rocky Mountain Chocolate
