Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse position is located in Cooperstown, New York. This role involves providing specialized obstetric care in a busy OB/LDRP unit with a mix of experienced RNs and new graduates. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers a flexible, rotating schedule with varied shifts.

Job Details:

• Location: Cooperstown, NY
• Shift: Rotating, scheduled as 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on an 8-week cycle, including every other weekend and holiday
• Schedule: 12 hours per shift with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure in the state of New York; Certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); experience in labor and delivery is preferred but not required, with consideration given to candidates with prior travel experience or specialized OB setting experience
• Preferred Qualifications: At least 3 years of OB experience

Additional Information:
The unit features four Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR) rooms, eight postpartum rooms, operating rooms for Caesarean births, and a special care nursery. Shorter contract durations are not ideal due to coverage needs. Travelers must work every other holiday, with holiday requests approved based on unit needs.
