About the Role


Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a Junior Java Developer to help build web and backend applications and services supporting a credentialing and case management system.


This role will use Java/Spring-based REST APIs , modern web technologies, and continuous integration practices to help deliver next-generation customer engagement systems for federal service agencies. The Junior Java Developer will contribute to front-end and backend development while collaborating with an Agile development team to deliver reliable software solutions.


This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Final DoD Secret security clearance .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise applications using Java .
• Build web and backend applications and services.
• Develop and integrate Java/Spring-based REST APIs .
• Support credentialing and case management system capabilities.
• Develop front-end functionality using technologies such as AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap .
• Participate in Agile software development activities.
• Work within a continuous integration environment.
• Use Java development tools including Eclipse, JUnit, and Git .
• Collaborate with developers building customer engagement solutions for federal service agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen.
• Active Final DoD Secret security clearance .
• 2+ years of Java development experience building enterprise applications.
• At least 1 year of recent experience developing and implementing software solutions using AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and Java .
• At least 1 year of experience working in an Agile environment.
• At least 1 year of experience using Java development tools such as Eclipse, JUnit, and Git .

Preferred Qualifications

• Located in Colorado or the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area (DMV) .
• Experience supporting a large-scale federal IT program.
• Experience working within the SAFe Agile delivery framework.
