About the Position

Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Valid State License required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Travel experience required - Charting system experience with Epic - Previous charge experience preferred - Ability to float between units Description: This position requires a registered nurse with experience in medical surgical nursing. The role includes care for patients with diverse medical conditions. Candidates will be required to work nights with a patient ratio of 1:6-8. Weekends will be required as per facility needs, typically every other weekend. The facility is a rehabilitation type of facility with a total of 91 staffed beds. Charting will be conducted using Epic. Candidates must have skills in isolation precautions, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management. The ideal candidate will have experience with cerebrovascular accidents, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. Candidates must commit to working three of the five recognized holidays during their contract. This position does not require COVID-19 vaccination. Flu vaccine status is unknown.
