Job Overview The Vice President of Private Equity Accounting will support BNY’s Private Equity Accounting Team based in Lake Mary, Florida. The position requires 4 days in office per week and focuses on complex fund accounting, client service, and process improvement. Responsibilities Conduct accounting services on behalf of assigned clients and complex funds, including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses and preparing reports. Lead work of junior team members for assigned client or fund and provide guidance on complex accounting responsibilities. Drive service improvement plans, target efficiencies, enhance processes, and perform specialist review functions. Interact regularly with clients to answer questions and resolve multifaceted issues regarding fund reports and accounting processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Experience with Big 4 accounting firm preferred. Experience evaluating GAAP and/or IFRS rules and determining impacts on fund accounting practices. Ability to provide guidance and review work related to cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts or transactions. May have people‑management responsibilities in some geographies and may be tasked with Team Lead responsibilities. Salary and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
