This role is responsible for reviewing condominium and cooperative housing projects to determine eligibility under investor, regulatory, and lending guidelines. The Project Analyst conducts detailed reviews of property-related documentation, including homeowner association (HOA) financial statements, board documents, insurance policies, litigation records, property inspection reports, and safety and health-related information. Working within established lending requirements, the incumbent evaluates projects against agency, investor, and portfolio guidelines, analyzes supporting documentation, requests additional information when needed, and issues project approval decisions. The role maintains accurate records within internal systems and communicates project outcomes and requirements to underwriting teams, sales partners, operations teams, risk partners, and other key stakeholders.

Preferred candidates will possess experience in mortgage lending, underwriting, secondary market guidelines, and agency requirements, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and portfolio lending programs. While condominium project review experience is preferred, it is not required. Candidates with demonstrated experience interpreting lending guidelines, conducting regulatory research, reviewing documentation, and applying underwriting or lending requirements will be well-positioned for success. Individuals with strong analytical thinking, research capabilities, attention to detail, and customer-focused communication skills will thrive in this highly detail-oriented and research-intensive environment.
This role has multiple levels, open to candidates with a minimum one year of mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking experience. The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.
