Marketing Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARYThe Marketing Coordinator will contribute to existing marketing programs throughout the company while assisting with developing new initiatives aligned with company and client goals. The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including proposal responses, company communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The Marketing Coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSWork closely with Project Managers and other marketing staff to organize and manage the production of RFP/RFQ responses and presentations:Reviewing RFP/RFQ and client's needsCompose an outline of criteria/responsibilitiesAssign responsibilities/monitor deadlinesProduce proposal content that best meets the client's criteriaWrite/edit proposal sectionsLead quality review meetingsResearches to analyze clients/prospects as well as competitors.Identifies new business opportunities from bid lists, market research, customer outreach, and teaming partner outreach.Tracks opportunity data and coordinates with appropriate staff regarding opportunities.Coordinate the design/editing of business development documents and participate in developing the marketing strategy.Coordinate the collection, organization, and maintenance of marketing/business development information, resources, files, and schedules.Coordinate public relations, advertising, and other outside events (i.e., tradeshows) as required.Track and maintain an internal group database of project descriptions, resumes, sub-consultants, contacts, standard content, etc.Coordinate divisional content for the website and business development.Supports, coordinates, and assists in the firm's marketing/business development activities.Interface with the Marketing team and Management to train on and standardize lead tracking to maximize client interface and go/no-go analysesActs as a change agent through continued development, maintenance, and improvement of marketing efforts based on corporate goals, business development objectives, and growth priorities.May perform light office duties including but not limited to filing, making copies, and scanning.May carry out other duties as assigned by management.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or other related discipline preferred. Exceptional candidates with an Associate of Arts/Associate of Science degree are preferred.Two or more years of similar marketing experience OR two or more years of directly related experience, developing original content for publication or competitive evaluation, will be considered.Familiarity with FDOT and other Florida city, county, and government entities.Experience conducting research (to help target clients, understand competition, and assist with setting future pursuit/direction).Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.Familiarity with content management systems and customer relationship management tools.Working knowledge of design and email software.Architecture/Engineering/Construction (AEC) industry experience desired.SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESProficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative SuiteAbility to work independentlyExtremely detail-oriented and acute attention to accuracyOrganizational and time management skills, multi-tasking and prioritizingStrong analytical and decision-making skillsExemplary writing and oral communication skills, with strong editing capabilities.Comfortable performing both self-directed research and interviews to develop new content.Understanding of marketing principles and market research techniques.Ability to adapt to new technology initiatives (e.g. project management software, databases, etc.).Ability to analyze compliance-driven technical documentation to determine customer requirements.Superior customer service skills for both internal and external customers.Ability to work effectively across multiple functions within the company.Ability to take direction from numerous individuals.Maintains an awareness of industry news, best practices, and trends.Contributes to a positive work environment; uses tact and professionalism when engaging with clientele, coworkers, and the industry community.Comfortable working both alone and in groups; welcomes constructive feedback.Comfortable interacting with a geographically dispersed workforce.Reacts well under pressure; accepts and adapts to frequent change.Works with integrity and acts ethically; supports the organization's culture, goals, and values.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust occasionally lift or move up to 10 poundsRegularly required to sit, talk, or listen.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.WORK ENVIRONMENTHigh-volume, fast-paced work environment managing proposal-related documents and submittals for numerous profit centers.
