Assess patients ranging from children to seniors through a blend of standardized tests and observational assessments.
Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, and swallowing requirements.
Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions concentrating on various aspects such as communication, language development, fluency, voice control, and swallow function.
Work in close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to implement well-rounded care strategies.
Facilitate education for patients and their loved ones, empowering progress beyond our clinical walls.
Conduct necessary inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions when needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an institution accredited by relevant authorities.
Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification remains pending.
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
Expert in evidence-based therapies catering to all age groups, with solid knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing impairments.
Exceptional communication skills that foster rapport with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to modify therapy approaches to meet the distinct cultural and linguistic preferences of diverse patients.
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation requirements.
