Assess patients across all age groups by utilizing standardized assessment tools and observational strategies to understand their needs.
Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver focused speech therapy interventions targeting communication, linguistic fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
Engage with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive care strategies.
Facilitate education for patients and family members to support their development and progress between therapy sessions.
Perform various inpatient evaluations and interventions in speech therapy as needed, ensuring a seamless treatment experience.
Document assessments and treatment plans timely and accurately, adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Keep abreast of advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment approaches catering to various ages, with a comprehensive understanding of developmental and acquired disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills in engaging with patients, families, and interdisciplinary health teams.
Adept at modifying therapy strategies according to cultural and linguistic diversity.
Strong clinical reasoning and analytical skills.
