Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning all age groups, utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods to guide your insights.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both short-term milestones and comprehensive communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Engage in focused one-on-one speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice control, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, comprising physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families, to implement holistic care strategies.
• Provide essential education to patients and families, empowering them to support progress beyond the walls of therapy.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation compliant with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to professional growth by staying updated on the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Complete a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
